3M Scott Fire & Safety
For more than 75 years, 3M Scott Fire & Safety has addressed some of the biggest needs of the fire service, and that commitment remains today. Our world counts on the protection provided by firefighters and first responders. It’s only right to choose equipment that can help offer you protection from both immediate dangers and the long-term risks related to the work you do every day. 3M™ Scott™ Fire & Safety brings to the firefighting community our legacy of innovation, research and dedication to protecting people. Air to breathe is the single most important commodity in a fire and one that is often taken for granted. Not all self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) are created equal. A durable, reliable SCBA with redundant safety features is critical to firefighter safety. When seconds count, and visibility is near-zero, firefighters need to rely on more than just their senses to locate the fire. Hands-free and hand-held thermal imaging solutions help to provide a second set of eyes and can assist with finding hot spots. Effective fireground communications are critical to the success of any mission. Firefighters need to be able to communicate clearly with team members and incident command through wireless radio communications.

BreatheSafe
At BreatheSafe, we deliver advanced air purification and pressurisation systems that create clean, safe breathing environments inside vehicle cabins and enclosures. Wildfire and structural smoke contain a dangerous mix of fine particulates and toxic gases that cause long-term lung damage to firefighters and machine operators. Our systems isolate the cabin from harmful outside air by maintaining positive pressure and filtering incoming air through high-efficiency HEPA filtration, providing breathable air and a safer space to rest and recover on the fireground. We’ve also incorporated flame-resistant filters, spark arrestors and heat-mixing technology so crews benefit from cooled, purified air even in extreme conditions. This holistic filtration approach reduces exposure risk, keeps operators healthier over long campaigns and enhances safety for frontline responders.

BurnBot
BurnBot reduces bushfire risk using robotic ground platforms — remotely operated systems designed to treat high-risk fuel loads in the hardest, slowest, or least safe places to reach by conventional means: peri-urban interfaces, infrastructure corridors, steep country and smoke-sensitive zones. Working as a force multiplier alongside fire agencies, land managers and utilities, BurnBot expands what's achievable in each treatment window without adding risk to crews. Every program is grounded in a terrain-based risk methodology that prioritises work by risk reduced per dollar, not hectares treated — so effort lands on the fuel that matters most. Following proven operations in North America, BurnBot's Asia Pacific team, headquartered in Queensland, is now delivering programs across Australia — from corridor risk assessments through pilot burns to annual fuels programs and multi-year partnerships. Visit Stand 297 to meet the APAC team, see how the technology performs in the field, and talk fuels programs, corridor risk and the 2026–27 season. And catch BurnBot in Innovation Pitchfest 2. We'd love to meet you.

Bushfire Prepare - Cardinia Shire Council
Enabling Community-Led Bushfire Risk Reduction Bushfire Prepare is a Victorian program supporting private landholders to reduce bushfire risk through active vegetation and fuel management. The program extends mitigation efforts beyond public land by enabling residents to manage risk at the property level. A core component is the introduction of cool burning , supporting the planned use of low-intensity fire to reduce fuel loads and influence fire behaviour. What We Do Reduce Bushfire Risk We support safe, practical fuel management on private land, helping to reduce fuel loads, moderate fire behaviour, and protect assets, infrastructure, and the environment. Strengthen Partnerships Bushfire Prepare facilitates coordination between landholders, community groups, local government, and emergency services—supporting a more integrated, cross-tenure approach to bushfire risk management. Build Capability and Resilience We build landholder understanding of bushfire risk and fuel management practices, supporting informed decision-making and increasing community preparedness. Why It Matters Bushfire risk is shared across both public and private land. Effective mitigation requires coordinated action across all tenures. By supporting landholders to actively manage vegetation and adopt appropriate fuel reduction practices, Bushfire Prepare contributes to reduced hazard, improved preparedness, and more resilient communities.

Bushfire Resilience Incorporated
Bushfire Resilience Inc (BRI) is an independent, community led not-for-profit who deliver free expert-led education to enable households living with bushfire risk to build practical resilience. That experience continues to shape everything we do. Our new Risk&Fix program will guide households in identifying the specific bushfire risks on their home and property and what needs to be done to mitigate them. BRI Subscribers will receive a regular notification as each new Risk&Fix article is published, keeping them informed and up to date, while social media will be used to inform the broader community. Underpinning this is our ongoing webinar program, an extensive library of 24 webinars featuring Australia's leading subject matter experts. Every session is freely available as a recording, complete with a full transcript, audience highlights and key householder actions. In addition, ten in-depth interviews of first-hand accounts from households affected by a bushfire are available. The result is a trusted resource that households across Australia can use when getting ready for and responding to bushfire risk.

Time is critical in the control of bushfires. Fast initial attack quickly assists in minimizing the size of a fire. Fixed-wing aircraft can quickly lay down retardant lines & suppress fires with foam/gel to slow the spread, giving ground crews the much needed time and space to extinguish fires. Firefighting is both a battle and a team effort. Meet three members of the aerial attack team: The Air Tractor AT-802F is built for attacking fires large and small – not only as an initial attack firefighter but also for extended duties supporting ground crews. It combines agility, performance, high-reliability and pinpoint accuracy with a versatility to operate over difficult terrain. The RJ85 Large Air Tankers have proven themselves time and again. With a tank capacity of 12,500 litres and able to cruise at over 700 km/hr, the RJ85 Air Tanker can reach a fire ground quickly and drop a large and accurate retardant line with a selectable coverage level to suit the fire type. The RJ85 is capable of gel and foam application. The Dash 8-400AT airtanker is fast, efficient and flexible and is the most modern airtanker in the world today. Featuring an external 10,000 litre tank with the ability to drop retardant, water, or foam/gel, via a proprietary Retardant Delivery System (RDS), capable of multiple, constant-flow coverage levels from a single, controlled-flow release over wildfires.

Financial Counselling Australia
Financial Counselling Australia (FCA) is the national peak body for financial counsellors and a trusted voice in Australia’s disaster resilience ecosystem. NDH plays a key role in connecting people to this support early. This is followed by sustained, structured assistance throughout recovery, often spanning several years. Since the 2019 Black Summer bushfires, financial counsellors have supported tens of thousands of disaster-impacted Australians, working with creditors, insurers and government systems while identifying systemic issues and informing reforms. FCA coordinates this work nationally, partnering across sectors to strengthen disaster response, recovery and preparedness, and support communities to build long-term financial resilience.

Newlans Coachbuilders
Why install aluminum replacement safety panels? Plastic panels are commonplace on most modern-day commercial vehicles; they have proved to be inadequate in situations of extreme heat and wear. We have created a solution to this problem in the form of exact fitting reproductions of the original plastic parts in lightweight aluminum. Fitting them to a vehicle is a one-time investment which will reduce the risk of injury and vehicle losses due to personnel not being able to access the vehicle due to heat-damaged panels. During the life of many appliances, plastic panels have been repeatedly changed. This not only entails the cost of repainting but also replacing decals or logos, door handles and various panels. Our panels have been designed and manufactured with input from state fire engineering services and representatives from the truck manufacturers. We also cater for various design requirements of individual States and services. For many years, Newlans panels have been in use with most brigades in Australia.

Northern Rivers Community Resilience Alliance
We believe that when disasters hit, it's the community that steps up first. The Northern Rivers Community Resilience Alliance was established in March 2024, in response to the 2022 floods and landslides — a disaster that revealed both the courage and mutual support of local communities, and the cracks: burnout, lack of coordination, and systems not built for community-led response. Since then, more than 45 grassroots groups across the region have joined together to form a trusted relationship-based network — guided by a community-led steering committee, and grounded in research from the University Centre for Rural Health, whose findings on agency-community collaboration continue to shape our strategic priorities. The Resilience Alliance provides organisational strengthening, peer support and advocacy to independent, place-based, community-led resilience groups, helping them coordinate, share tools and knowledge, and build the systems they need to care for their communities before, during and after disasters. Our work is backed by funders including FRRR, the NSW Government's Supporting Spontaneous Volunteers Program, the Disaster Ready Fund, and NRMA Insurance's HELP Fund — enabling long-term, region-wide support for volunteer-led resilience across the Northern Rivers.

PBI Performance Products Inc
Fabrics made with PBI fibre are the first choice of fire and rescue services all over the world. They are designed to offer maximum thermal protection from the outside, while at the same time delivering high levels of breathability and comfort to reduce the risk of heat stress. They will not become brittle, shrink or break open when exposed to flame and high temperatures, which is among the characteristics of other fabrics. This means that the integrity of the internal layers of the garment is protected, and the transfer of any radiant heat is slower, allowing more time for firefighters to escape to safety in a situation such as a flashover. Outer shells for structural fire suits made with PBI fibre give designers incredible flexibility to create high-performance garments that do not sacrifice comfort and freedom of movement in achieving high levels of protection. Firefighters who wear PBI can do their job with the confidence and peace of mind that their PPE has been tested and proven to offer the highest levels of protection.

Tasmania Fire Service (TFS)
Fire services in Tasmania have been delivered through various predecessors of the Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) since 1827, evolving from volunteer brigades in Hobart Town to formal brigades under the Fire Brigade Act 1883 and a permanent workforce in 1910. These services were unified under the Fire Service Act 1979, with the establishment of TFS as the operational arm of the State Fire Commission. Today, TFS provides statewide fire prevention, preparedness and emergency response, supporting urban, regional and rural communities. Our work spans community education, structural firefighting, bushfire response, road crash rescue and a range of other emergency incidents. As a core part of Tasmania’s emergency management system, TFS also contributes specialist capability, intelligence and recovery support to partner agencies. To ensure we continue to meet the needs of the Tasmanian community now and into the future, a more contemporary emergency services model is being considered by the state which will bring TFS and the State Emergency Service (SES) together as the Tasmania Fire and Emergency Service (TFES). This new entity aims to deliver a modern, professional organisation focused on protecting life, property and the environment, while strengthening community resilience to fire, flood, storm and other emergencies. For more information, visit the TFS website.

The Resilience Canopy
Communities worldwide face mounting pressures from climate change and social challenges. These stresses – from shifting economic patterns and social dynamics to environmental impacts – are reshaping how communities live, work, and thrive. Increasing disasters cause compounding and generational impacts for individuals, families and communities. These challenges don’t just stretch local systems; they expose existing cracks in communities – especially for those already facing disadvantage. Instead of creating dependence that systematically erodes their natural resilience The Resilience Canopy supports communities to “bounce forward” using their own collective wisdom and locally-driven solutions Through an integrated system that bridges critical gaps in planning, partnership and implementation, we provide communities with training, tools and support to apply the program in their own communities. This process helps them identify their unique resilience priorities and take practical steps with partners willing to invest time, expertise or funds to turn that into action. When systems inevitably reach their breaking point, the most prepared communities are ones that are already economically diverse, socially connected, mentally healthy, and collectively empowered to solve their own challenges. By empowering communities and partners, we can fundamentally reimagine how Australia builds community strength across every aspect of life.

UNSW Sydney's iCinema Centre
UNSW Sydney’s iCinema Research Centre, in collaboration with Fire and Rescue NSW, is pleased to showcase iFire 2.0 – the world’s first, AI‑driven cinematic visualisation system designed to help emergency services train in situational awareness and decision-making for dynamically evolving fire events. iFire 2.0 utilises a deep learning fire spread model for hyper-realistic, interactive 3D cinematic scenarios that can be displayed on a range of 2D and 3D screens, offering lifelike problem‑solving experiences that test and extend practical knowledge. It allows first responder teams to navigate simulated firegrounds as if they were physically present, safely explore complex environments and unanticipated challenges to rehearse readiness and response. By rendering high‑fidelity grassland and forest fires, iFire 2.0 enables participants to explore fire behaviour under moderate-to-catastrophic fire danger conditions. The AI model generates scientifically grounded “what‑if” scenarios, allowing responders to adjust variables such as wind speed and direction, to preview the unpredictable look and feel of extreme fire events. The result is a powerful real‑time training environment where teams can trial strategies and practice complex decision‑making under realistic pressure. iFire 2.0 supports operational planning, incident management training and post‑event review – helping first responders build confidence, capability and resilience.
